Description
The Verdejo grape (not be confused with the similar sounding Verdelho grape from Portugal) takes its name from the Spanish word for green – ‘verde’ – inspired by its brightly verdant berries. The vineyards are located in the Vino de la Tierra de Castilla growing area in the centre of Spain. It is a vast expanse of very flat terrain. The temperatures are extreme due to its continental climate ranging from lows of -15° in the Winter to stifling highs of 45° in the Summer.
Pale yellow with green hints. Delicate aromas of white & tropical fruits. Citrus and apricot on the dry, crisp and refreshing palate. Light in body with a lovely balanced acidity.
