Toasty and slightly balsamic wood on the nose. On the palate there is a fresh, youthful tension, lovely density, an elegant acidic backbone, powerful tactile minerality with a long-lasting plateau phase. An almost “European” Chardonnay with very good substance and excellent ageing potential.
From the Paarl wine region, Nederburg Manor House 2020 Chardonnay is a dry, medium-plus-bodied and solid Chardonnay with ripe orchard fruit, pineapple, lemon curd, toasty nut and subtle spicy flavours comfy and satisfying on the palate. Excellent value at $18.
