Description
This is an excellent example of traditional Rioja, a wine I have been hoping to find for many years. This plump, satisfying Spanish red melds strawberry and cherry fruits with a silky palate and a touch of vanilla from ageing in high-quality oak barrels. Supple enough to be enjoyed on its own, this also deserves to be the centrepiece star for a leg of lamb or gently spiced, root-filled roast.
