When we think of Argentinian red wine, of course we think of Malbec but have you tried Bonarda? Plantings in Argentina are rapidly increasing for this more rustic grape variety, making it the second most widely planted red grape in the whole of Argentina. The wine smells of black currant, mocha, chocolate and pickled figs. The taste is mouth-filling, dominated by black currant, slightly spicy aftertaste, robust and full-bodied with hints of smoke and mint.
